Michael E. McGilvery

One of the most experienced medical malpractice defense lawyers in the Philadelphia area, Michael E. McGilvery has been trying medical malpractice cases in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas since 1989. He has achieved over 175 defense verdicts for physicians and other medical providers. A 1973 graduate of St. Joseph's University and a 1976 graduate of the Temple School of Law, Mike practices with his partner, Denise L. Denise L. Juliana

Ms. Juliana is an experienced trial attorney specializing in medical malpractice defense litigation. She has been successfully defending physicians in the Greater Philadelphia area since 1990 and has tried over 50 medical malpractice cases to verdict. Denise graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1990 where she obtained her JD/MBA. She also obtained her undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1987.

Susan L. Fleming

Susan L. Fleming has focused her practice on the defense of health care professionals, hospitals and nursing homes in complex, large exposure professional liability matters at several major law firms in the Philadelphia area. She graduated from Villanova University of Law and Georgetown University School of Nursing. Before attending law school, she worked as a registered nurse, spending her nursing career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

NANCY N. POWELL, ESQUIRE

Nancy N. Powell has concentrated her career in defense litigation and has extensive medical malpractice experience. Nancy received her undergraduate degree from The Catholic University of America (Magna Cum Laude) and her Juris Doctor from Villanova University of Law. She has worked for several major law firms in the Philadelphia area and surrounding counties. 


In addition to her work at McGilvery and Juliana, Nancy volunteers as an advocate for Montgomery Child Advocacy Project – MCAP and was recently named as an MCAP Superhero. With MCAP, she has worked with children in the Montgomery County Court system in Protection from Abuse, Dependency, Criminal and Orphan’s Court cases.
